Communauto is on Chrono!

A new mobility service is launched on Chrono. You can now reserve a Communauto vehicle using the Chrono app. Established in 1994, Communauto is an economical and practical solution for accessing a vehicle. Simply join Communauto to book your first vehicle with the Chrono app.

How do I reserve a car?

Already a Communauto member?

1. Open the main menu (button with the three horizontal lines) and select the Communauto log in option.
2. Enter your Communauto member number and password.

Not yet a Communauto member?

1. Visit our Communauto mobility partner’s website at https://montreal.communauto.com/join-now/ to create an account.

Please allow three business days for your account to be activated, and contact Communauto for any questions about your membership.

How do I find  and block a flex car?

• Press the “Services” tab under the map and select “Communauto FLEX” or open the main menu in the top-left corner of the screen and press “Communauto FLEX”.
• Enter your Communauto member number and password.
• Check the map to find available FLEX vehicles.
• Select the one you want and block it.
• Make your way to the vehicle within the next 30 minutes.
• Open the Chrono app, on the page of your FLEX booking to unlock the vehicle.

How do I reserve a station-based vehicle?

1. Open your Chrono app and press on the “Services” tab and select “Communauto” or open the main menu in the top-left corner of the screen and press “Communauto”.
2. Enter the time you would like to reserve a car, as well as the location (starting point) you want to search from.
3. Consult the list of vehicles available for the requested period. Vehicles appear based on their proximity to your starting point.
4. Tap on a vehicle for more details about its options and accessories.
5. Select and reserve the car that best suits your needs.

No cars available matching your search?

Here are some tips to increase your chances of finding a station-based car:

1. Change your reservation start time;
2. Change your reservation end time;
3. Change your starting point to another easily accessible location to move the search field of available vehicles for the period requested.
